Bio
Giuliano Lombardo, Rome based
artist, works with music, sound, video,
photography and unpredictable behavior. In the nineties he invents
"Disordinazioni", a movement based on the introduction of artistic
dynamics in casual encounters. In 2005 his personal exhibition "Canone
Pitagorico" is shown at
"MLAC
Museo Laboratorio d'Arte
Contemporanea"
in Rome (curated by Simonetta Lux and Domenico Scudero) and music from
this project has been published in the double cd "DIY Canons" curated
by Simon Wickham-Smith for the New York based label "Pogus
Productions". In recent years he has been developing the project called
"Video
Viaggio", in which the
video is
shot just before its screening.
Post production and editing are therefore eliminated from the
production process. Video Viaggi (always a different one) have been
shown in Brindisi, Lecce (Loop House Gallery), Pescara (Ecoteca), Rome
(Blueroom@rialtosantambrogio and Rashomon). The other project he is now
working on is called "Factors of Abnormality and
Disturbance". In this
series of works the artist tries to develop methods in which a text, an
audio track, or an image are created by mechanical errors. Works from
this series have been shown at 27th Biennial of Graphic
Arts of Lubljana, PEAM (Pescara Electronic Art Meeting)
and BAAN (Biennale Adriatica Arti Nuove), FLOODS (P.ta S. Agostino,
Bergamo).
